Nut Cutlets

Ingredients
1 cup
walnuts or pecan, chopped in a blender
2 tbs
margarine
1
small onion, chopped
2 tbs
flour
3 tbs
silken tofu
1 tbs
applesauce
1 cup
vegetable broth
2 cups
fresh breadcrumbs
1 tsp
(or more!) thyme
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Mix tofu, applesauce and broth together.In a frying pan,sauté onion in melted butter until tender.
Stir in flour, then add tofu-applesauce-broth mixture.
Cook until thick.
Add other ingredients.
Chill mixture.
Shape into 8 cutlets.
Pat with a little flour, then fry in hot vegetable oil until browned on each side.
